How do I get my document back if Word crashes?

Sometimes, you may find yourself in a situation where Word freezes or crashes and you have to restart the application. To Work With Document Recovery * Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete * Select Task Manager Button on the Window that is displayed * Select the Word Document and Click End Task * Double Mouse Click to Open the Word Application * To the left of the document window you will see Document Recovery pane displayed. In that pane you can see available documents to be recovered. * When you place your mouse over the document you want to recover, an arrow will appear. Mouse click the arrow to view the choices: View, Save As, Close * If you want to keep the recovered document, save it as a new file name
