The product provides mainframe connectivity to thousands of concurrent TCP/IP-based users over synchronous data link control, X.25-qualified logical link control (LLC) and 802.2 LLC protocols. Operating on a 32-bit Windows platform, the product uses SNA to communicate with IBM mainframe computers, making them accessible to IP-based clients via the standard TN3270E data stream supported by most commercial terminal emulation products. The installation directory requires less than 3 MB of disk storage, and minimal run-time memory requirements enable it to run concurrent with other applications, instead of requiring a dedicated super server.
