For those who are unfamiliar with what validating a web page (ie validating your HTML or CSS code) means, it basically refers to an online service or using a program to check that the web page that you created is free of errors

You can use for free to validate web pages using W3 Consortium which owns its online validator. You can found at: http://validator.w3.org/

Validate your XHTML files with W3C

Always keep in mind that an XHTML document is validated against a Document Type Definition (DTD).
