Nellore is a city located in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the headquarters of the Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore District, formerly Nellore district. It is of strategic commercial importance as it lies between the cities of Vijayawada and Madras (Chennai). It is located on the banks of the Penna river. Nellore is also famous for its production of mica (gudur), lemon (gudur) and agricultural products such as rice and it is also famous for other temples like Narasimha Swamy Konda, Jonnavada Kamakshi Ammavari temple, Ayyappa Temple, Golagamudi Venkaya Swami Temple.
